This book is pure entertainment and shock.
This is the story of an ex-sheriff, his Native American history, and a small town. Surviving a small town as Native American, it’s quite an interesting mix of love, power, family, and crime. From what I understand the main character, Cork O’Connor is featured in quite a few more books by author, William Kent Krueger. While this book was originally published in 1998 before the common use of cell phones, it reads very well and has a number of twists and turns, most of them u-expected. You can’t help but like cork and the rest of the characters in Aurora, Minnesota. It’s a well-orchestrated mystery that makes you come back for more. I am hoping to read more of these from this author.
